The true use of gold is for paving streets, covering houses and making culinary dishes, and when the Saints shall have preached the gospel, raised grain and built up cities enough, the Lord will open up a way for a supply of gold to the perfect satisfaction of His people. Until that time, let them not be over anxious, for the treasures of the earth are in the Lordís storehouse and He will open the doors thereof when and where He pleases.

Some Can't Handle The Truth PDF Print E-mail

An article by Reg McDaniel, owner of www.selfpreparedness.com

The following is a small extract from the movie: - ?A Few Good Men?.

Jessep: "You want answers?"

Kaffee: "I think I'm entitled to them."

Jessep: "You want answers?"

Kaffee: "I want the truth!"

Jessep: "You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall!"

Jessep wasn't completely wrong...

The truth is that many people don't want to hear the truth - they want to hear what they're comfortable hearing.  Often, we don't  want to be confronted, challenged or questioned and we definitely don't want to have to change our beliefs, behaviors or habits. Too uncomfortable, too inconvenient and definitely  too much  work. We're fine with the truth so long as it doesn't mean that we have to modify or interrupt our lives in any significant way.

So instead of being open to learning some valuable truth that could possibly change our reality for the better, we often become defensive, critical and/or angry. Acknowledging certain things would mean that we'd have to do and or be different... and that's the last thing we want to do, so we don't. "Let others do the changing."  They just want to continue to live in their little world which is quite literally an illusion like ?The Matrix? movie.

When it comes to being honest, so many out there want me to be more gentle and be more kind and not be so passionate about my beliefs which are based on years of research and meditation.  Over the years I have been criticized by some people for being honest about certain important issues. Others who are basically either cowards or what I call professional illusionists simply ask to be removed from my e-mail list. They prefer myopic vision and myopic hearing.   It?s not comfortable dealing with the truth when it appears that a lot of people are going to die a long and horrible death including them if they don?t listen AND act.  I call it honest, they call it offensive. Funny how this perspective can be the difference between being empowered and educated verses being a victim.

People ask me for advice and then when I tell them what they don't want to hear they resort  to opinions and labeling.  He?s a fanatic or an extremist.  He?s a gun nut.  (And by the way, I never owned a gun until Katrina hit and there were over 300 reported rapes by neighborly US men on US women.  Trolley Square happened next followed by Virginia Tech and the church parking lot massacre on one woman by her ex.)   I guess it makes them feel better about their choices.  I never (ever) tell people the truth to hurt, discourage or criticize - only to help them create positive change in their life. I do hope to see them wince and or a worried look in their eyes.  This means they are listening..  And I created the ?200 Ways? DVD to resolve those issues of no time and no money.  And yes, there is a time, a place and a way to deliver certain messages with sensitivity and compassion, but there's also a time when we need to stop skirting the issues and actually deal with things head on - as unpopular and as uncomfortable as that may be.  I?m not walking on eggs any more!  So I choose tough love and to literally slap people around emotionally.  I?ll leave the soft approach to the guys who are in positions that could cause world panic if they revealed everything that they knew.

For instance, I?ll bet many of you haven?t heard a word about Planet X.  Well google it and you will see that it?s on it merry way to a section of our planet in your neighborhood.  So the authorities have snuffed the story because in their opinion, and rightfully so, no one will want to build a new building or invest in a new condo or do anything involving a financial risk because Planet X is coming and could destroy everything or at least a lot of everything they invest in.  And a visionary has told me personally that it will break up into three sections and that one of those sections will hit our planet causing much havoc as well as 200 to 300 mile per hour winds for a short time.  One third would make it almost the size of our planet because currently it is 3 times our size.  The Hopi Indians have stated the same as well of this planet since 1073. (That?s just 2 witnesses to the same event  with the same results.  I could quote a lot more witnesses if necessary.)

In Utah we have General Authorities who have preached a food storage program for over 175 years.  They have also wisely counseled us not to go into debt to get it.    (Looking back, it?s been over 175 years so why go into debt that for what never seems to even be necessary for most of us?)  So as a majority,  we in Utah have chosen, as have most others outside of Utah, instead to go into debt for anything and everything we possibly can except food storage.  And we boast about not going into debt for food like we are obeying some new commandment or something.  But there?s more!  We also get on 12 month no interest no payment plans on as much stuff as we possibly can.  We max out our credit cards or maintain a minimum of $4,000 on average of debt on each card and or we have chosen to purchase an elaborately huge house whose kitchens are larger than most pioneer homes were back in the day.  We choose a luxury car or a couple of ATV ?s  with a new trailer to tote them, and or a boat, and or a golf club membership etc. etc. etc.  Whereas I preach, via a commercial I created for my TV show,  $500 down, get the food delivered tomorrow and make payments because in 12 months or less, in my opinion, you won?t be able to afford to buy the food if there is any food to buy.  Another commercial from another company on my show is also a financed payment plan where you get the food now and pay later.  And I support that belief with all the authenticated articles I e-mail everybody that not only is the economy going to hell in a handbag but there are people dying in food riots at our very doors.  What I recommend is counsel.  It?s not a commandment nor is it a commandment from the other brethren I just mentioned.  But I guess that until the food riot is in your specific neighborhood, we aren?t going to worry about it as a majority of folks.  Only the minority, 3 out of every 100, are doing something about it as I write this article.

Be aware that I am a non professional reporter of various information.  I am just  the messenger.  I am not creative, except on articles I occasionally write like this one.   I try and disperse what I consider to be valuable information. Such as:  http://nysun.com/news/food-rationing-confronts-breadbasket-world.   I also emphasize a hearty and solid relationship with God so that you can know the truth from the speculation of others as found in James 1:5.   I have never met anyone who felt like they had been hurt because they had prepared and nothing happened to them.   I can guarantee, something did happen somewhere to someone.

If you have extra money, I still believe you will be able to use food to get completely out of debt if you stock pile enough extra if you want to.  People are hording right now as I write this.  Even if it is just iodized salt, spices, and the like from your local dollar store.   You?ll simply be able to sell it for ten to one thousand times what you paid for it and get out of debt.
